DC Chamber Musicians

DCCM Member Intro 2019-20

The DC Chamber Musicians (DCCM) is an alliance of adult, advanced, non- professional musicians who share a passion for chamber music. The vision statement of DCCM is

DCCM aspires to be the most comprehensive network of non-professional chamber musicians in the DC metropolitan region. DCCM offers a full suite of resources to support chamber ensembles, including rehearsal venues, coaching, and performance opportunities to further musical growth for our members and build diverse audiences.

This group is intended for musicians at the intermediate, advanced or semi-pro levels, in already established ensembles. The DC Concert Orchestra Society (DCCOS) has other program services that can assist you in finding fellow musicians with whom to form ensembles.*

DCCM’s primary service offerings are:

  • Private professional chamber music coaching,

  • Chamber music master classes with musicians of the New Orchestra of Washington,

  • Public concert performance opportunities,

  • Access to quality rehearsal facilities,

  • Quarterly open chamber music “opens” to meet fellow musicians and play casually,

  • A large, searchable directory of chamber musicians throughout the metropolitan area, and

  • A directory of professional chamber music coaches.

Annual dues are currently $25 and are refundable in the first 6 months of membership if you do not consume any services or participate in any events except our quarterly chamber music opens. Dues must be paid in advance. Click here to join.


* DCCOS sponsors the Classical Musicians of Metro DC (CM-MDC), a 500-member metropolitan area network of chamber musicians interested in casual gatherings for rehearsal of chamber music. Many musicians are seeking to form longer term ensembles. Membership is free.
